It all started when…

We purchased a vintage 1966 Airstream Safari camper in the spring of 2001, with the intention of cleaning it up to use as a temporary sales venue for handmade goods made by local artists in/around the Duluth, MN region. There were only two sales in the Airstream - one in July 2001 ... and the other (after September 11th) in October. Everything changed after 911 and so did Silvercocoon. We moved to Minneapolis and Silvercocon became an umbrella that included all of the creative work we were doing at the time. It existed this way for several years before Tia launched her modern jewelry collection in November of 2007.
