These earrings commemorate the hem of the art dress that is part of Tia Keobounpheng’s WAYFIND, 2023 installation [part of the REVEALING THREADS solo fine art exhibition at the Minneapolis Museum of Art in 2023] … Tia wore the dress while visiting the birthplace of her great-great grandmother, Wilhelmine, on the northern coast of Norway. The dress features 16 circles around the hem - one circle for each of her great-great grandparents - the generation she was researching.
