• Large disc=Copper, Medium disc=Oxidized Copper, Small disc=Silver
• Metal is "alive" in a way that it will tarnish over time as it is exposed to air and humidity. The discs have been coated with a thin wax coating that will protect it from the elements in order to prolong the desired finish but that is possible to be worn away over time and with wear. 
• Refrain from polishing oxidized pieces, as the surface treatment may be polished away.
